Common questions

Let’s make Medicare easier to understand.

You don’t have to know all the terms before you call. Start with your question.

Speak with us: 864-707-1000
I’m turning 65. Where do I start?

Start by understanding when you’re eligible for Medicare and how it works with any coverage you already have. Call us to discuss your situation and the coverage options you may want to consider. You can also read Medicare’s getting-started guide.

Can I keep my doctor?

That depends on your coverage and your doctor. Medicare Advantage plans may use provider networks. With Original Medicare, check that your doctor accepts Medicare. We can help you review provider information for a plan you’re considering; confirm participation before enrolling.

Will my prescriptions be covered?

Each drug plan has a list of covered medications, called a formulary. Your pharmacy, dosage, and plan rules can affect what you pay. Have your medication list ready so we can help you review coverage and costs.

When can I change my coverage?

Medicare Annual Enrollment runs October 15–December 7 for certain Medicare Advantage and Part D changes. Other enrollment periods may apply based on your situation. Medigap has separate enrollment rules. Call us to discuss which timing applies to you, or review Medicare’s enrollment periods.

Should I review my plan every year?

Review your plan’s Annual Notice of Change and consider whether your doctors, prescriptions, and care needs have changed. A review can help you decide whether your current coverage still fits. You don’t have to change plans simply because you review them.
